If I may ask...usually the scene inspires you or you select the scene and then build the best possible picture....
I like a lot your landscape images...
Thank you Light50.
Firstly the scene needs to inspires me. If my eye sees something that I like very much, I then try to compose and take my photo to somehow show the scene in a way not usually seen or special in some way. Sometimes conditions are great and it's easy for me, and other times it's very hard.
Sometimes I get it right and other times I fail.
Seeing as I bump others posts up that get missed or ignored ... I might as well bump a few of my own as well.
No one else like this one??
Oh, yes, I like it. It's just that I've been playing catch-up for the week. Doesn't help that my hard drive tried to eat itself (continuous reboots). I spent the afternoon in the recovery console doing a chkdisk with the repair flag. That one takes a loooooong time. Fortunately for me I have more than one internet capable computer. Me and Google are fast friends.
The colors of the sky are wonderful. I keep thinking that a giant set those rocks on the left down every which way. It's an odd thought.
Thanks Q1 ... and yeh ... that's odd alright
Lots of threads get missed and receive no comments for one reason or another. That's why I troll through looking for them every now and then and make a comment in the hope it will bring them up and others will see something they missed.
Love the light/shadow play in this image. Just wonderful...

I like this one but I find the shadows a bit heavy - I thing would sing louder as a fuller HDR is you bracketed exposures.
