Default Beachside Restaurant & Elephant Rock

For those who viewed my Currumbin Beach thread I had a shot of this building in it ... a Surf Life Saving Club and Restaurant. It's built against a large rock with stairs to the top.

The shot from the Currumbin thread ... you can see people on the rock above the building ...

    This was at low tide!

Up on 'Elephant Rock'. Now the rock doesn't remotely look like an elephant from an angle I could find but from the top I do see what could be construed as a trunk and maybe hind leg ...

Looking south down the beach ...

Looking north towards the Currumbin inlet and Surfers Paradise and it's skyscrapers

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.

Lovely shots will not look like that in Summer!
As to name on Falklands there was an Elephant Cannon and it was so named because of the number of discarded cans which originally contained Elephant beer.
They also had a Budgies Bridge so named because the crane driver who placed it was always whistling and was nick named Budgie.
Can't see any archaeologist working them out!
