If you don't know what Ortons are you are in for a treat ESPECIALLY if you have any interest in landscape photography. The podcast features an interview with the creator of the technique, Michael Orton. Another amazing photographer, Darwin Wiggett also discusses his method for creating digital Ortons.

Enjoy and feel free to comment here or in the blog but blog is preferred.

    Best!

Marko, I wanted to say thanks for putting the effort that you do into the DataCasts. I've been lurking on the site, and regulary downloading the DataCasts, and I must say I am really enjoying them.
You out-did yourself with the Orton podcast. Getting the "Orton man" himself interviewed was truly awesome. All that history behind it added another dimension to an already great site.
I don't have too much experience with Photography itself, but I do enjoy taking pictures. Our high school had a superb multi-format art department and after that I attended a year of Visual arts at our local University. Like most people you get working full time and busy with life and sometimes the stuff you really enjoyed falls by the wayside. The Orton imagery was just the thing I needed to jump start my hobbies again.

    Cheers

Yes Marko, the "Orton Man" was great. To hear about the original process with film and slides was awesome. I could not imagine myself doing that.

Thanks everyone! I was thrilled to have Interviewed Michael Orton as well and for me personally, learning the exact history of the technique was just awesome. This was a long one to produce though, at least 6 or 7 hours, but it was so worth it. Thx again!!
