I haven't played with 2nd Sync (or 2nd Curtain) Flash much so last night I decided it was time to give a decent go.
For those not sure of what it is the basics are in 2nd sync mode your flash fires millisecs before the 2nd shutter curtain closes ending the exposure instead at the start of the exposure like normal.
The idea here, as I understand it, is to use a slower shutter speed to create a trail of light and then the flash captures the subject in some reasonable clarity.
So ... we headed down to a local skate/bmx park where found a group of young guys playing around a little. Funny how when you yank out a camera and stand right amoung the action there's suddenly more action going on
This is one of the shots I got that worked fairly well I think.
Mode: Shutter Priority, Shutter Speed 1/4, Aperture (selected by camera) f2.8, ISO 200
