    Default Colour to B&W..

    How do I get a really nice B&W conversion... I see B&W pics that have such fabulous tones, etc.. and mine are nowhere near.. how do I accomplish that? I'm using Photoshop Elements 7...

    Thanks for any tips/advice!

    I've read this post and was trying to think of where I saw this but it was a comparison of all the different B&W conversions one could get with different ways. If you use photoshop you can desaturate, convert to B&W and I'm sure there is several other ways and each ending up different (or so said this document). Then on top of that you can play with the contrast/brightness and on and on. I wouldn't know how much any photo would be edited.

    I know this isn't much help but I don't think there is just one way to get a great B&W...
