I don't know why we are here, but I'm pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves.

Yeah, the last one is my favourite as well. I hope you having a great time. I'm looking forward to seeing some more photos from your journey.
I've been home over four weeks now, and have just finished going over my photos and deciding on keepers, printers, posters and trash. My top 6: (rest are in my Flickr)
1.No trip to New Zealand would be complete without a picture of sheep.
2.Lake Matheson (Mt. Cook, tallest peak in NZ in background)
3. Tonga Quarry, Abel Tasman National Park
4. Lake Ferry on southern tip of North Island
5.Waipoua Kauri Forest. Kauri trees are unique to NZ and are close to extinction due to overlogging and disease. They are some of the largest trees in the world.
6. Beach near dunes (I already forgot the name of the place!)

Oooooh, loving number 2. The mirrored landscape and the tones just make me want to have a seat in a comfy chair right there and relax.
Thanks. Funny you should say that because this was the scene on the deck overlooking the lake at 6:30 in the morning. Crowded with photographers/tourists who all knew the morning weather would be clear enough for this view. Quite often, the mountains are shrouded in cloud. The lake is famous, apparently for the mirror view.
