What makes it so different and weird is that parts of the image move and not the whole image. Hair blows out of the way to show something behind it. Animated GIF it is, but it's the way the animation is done to only parts of the image -- very cool.
I'd love to know how they do that. it reminds me of photos from the Harry Potter series.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
That's really unique and yes, somewhat freaky because only part/s of the images move. I have to concur with Bambi. These photos reminded me of the portraits in Harry Potter. But, weirdness aside, those images are actually great. Wonder how the photographer did that. Thanks for sharing, by the way.
