The double mesh and double shadows caught my eye. A number of trees along the path are wrapped with chicken wire to protect them from the beavers. One of the apartment residents has seen one, and I've seen at least two dens. The protection works - the trees tend to fall down on their own...
And another fallen tree. Pretty much anything that isn't a hazard to walkers or rafters is left to recycle itself. There are a number of logs I take photos of several times a year. On this one, it's hard to tell where the shadow leaves off and the silvered wood starts.
I'm not looking for light and shadow subjects at every turn, honest! It's just that all these subjects force me to notice them, and then, well, I just have to take their pictures.
21 days into the assignment and I finally found some time to shoot for this

this is one of the bunkers from Point Pleasant Park in Halifax. I remember when they were not fenced off and made a great place to play. It made me feel sad to see them fenced off
