My oldest daughter, Rachel, is a voice teacher by profession and part of her work is to teach students to not only sing but to perform. She has a particular interest in clothes, jewelry and make up. During the pandemic she taught from home by Zoom and recently held a Zoom recital for her students. With time on her hands, she began to produce YouTube videos about make-up, using her iPhone, gradually learning how to edit her videos on her laptop and how to use external microphones and lighting. You can see them on her channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc_...GP2PXgwd0Kt98w or her website at https://www.sparkleandlipstick.com/ I helped her as much as I could, but we couldn't meet at her house any longer with the distancing in place.
So it's her birthday coming up next week, and her present of choice is a vlogging camera. We met yesterday at The Camera Store to decide which camera she wants/needs, and she decided on the new Sony ZV-1 which we (I) ordered. It should arrive in a week or so. Apparently vlogging is a very popular activity nowadays. Going into The Camera Store, we both masked up, and found all the staff masked as well. Lots of hand sanitizer available. When we came out I took these photos. She's not wearing her usual makeup here, but the mask is from a vendor on Etsy. She was hoping to do a photoshoot in the future wearing a mask because of how it emphasizes the eyes.
