Thanks Marko, for your comment on both photos.
Just a comment about the first photo. Some people have said to me that they thought it was a Photoshopped background. Just to clarify, it is a single exposure and the effect was all in the original set up. There is only minimal processing of this photo, just a bit of a crop and slight levels play is all. No vignette either.

There's a pipeline spat between our province and the British Columbia government. In retaliation for delays in allowing the pipeline by the B.C. government, the Alberta government has banned the import of B.C. wine into Alberta. Some think we should negotiate a reverse wine pipeline. I happen to have boxes of the stuff. so won't be buying California wine anytime soon.

Nice one MB.
I would offer suggestions for some alternative Australian wines, but I understand there has been a complaint lodged with the WTO about Canadian restrictions affecting Australian wine imports.
Thanks. Yes, I do enjoy Australian and New Zealand wines here occasionally. Jacob's Creek and Yellowtail come to mind. I'm obviously not a connoisseur. You are right about the complaint: Australia complains to WTO about Canadian rules on selling wine - Business - CBC News
By the way, it never occurred to me at all that your first photo might be photoshopped. That is just great bokeh.
