Default July 2013 photo assignment - Long exposure

Hi members - got any ideas for regular and level 2 assignments?

    Thx!

How about macro (or maybe reverse lens). I'm sure most people can come up with some lens they can turn around.

Long exposures (30 secs or longer)

I'm okay with the macro idea but maybe not everyone has the reversing ring?

i really like the long exposure idea, but for me anything over 1 second is a long exposure..

I am good with Macro (however it is done) and long exposure

I could go with both those ideas.

I was thinking if people don't have a reversing ring, they can hold the lens to the camera. For those new to Macro (that includes me) its a way to try it out.
Marko - Did you have a podcast on Macro that us newbies can refer to?

I'm with Marko, 30 sec seems a bit long to me. Unless you are taking pictures at night you need a pretty heavy ND filter to get a 30 sec exposure.

i think we've done macros, but i don't mind doing it again.

Well I get most creative with long exposures so that works for me.

I don't have a macro, but we could make it a combination like last month. For example we could do macro/tight framing.

    Hi members,

Suggestion posts merged! The regular assignment this month will be long exposures and images for that theme should be posted in this very thread.
Just as a guide, these long exposures should be 1/15 th of a second or slower (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 second, 2 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute etc.).

The level 2 assignment is Macro photography (done with a macro lens, extension tubes, reversing ring or just as close as you can with your best close-up lens) and should be posted here.

Okay then who will post first?

    Great start guys.

Nice capture crashcat - love the colour
Marko the comp is brilliant. 9 out of 10 people would have cropped tighter on the juggler and not made an image with such impact. Love the guy on the right.
Beautiful shot Iggy. The spirals make it look like the fireworks are on a stick. Love the reflection too.
