My mistake has been seeking new landscapes. I should have been seeking new light.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Thanks Marko. I noticed the fog when I got up and remembered your podcast about shooting in the fog so I rushed to the site. Less than 30 miniutes after getting the shots the fog was mostly gone. I think it added to the shot.
Another image just under the wire. Canon XT, Canon 50mm F1.8 lens.
With the autumn colours being so prominent in this part of Ontario, I found it very challenging and instructional to disregard them when taking shots for this workshop. Here is my favourite from a few weeks ago on a rainy afternoon. The lens was stopped down to F22 to get as much texture of the lichen-covered rock as possible over the whole field. Also took a few F8 image slices and will try combining them in the future to see if even more sharpness results.
Interesting shot, Doug.![]()
Thanks for the compliment BambiIt was taken this past Thursday in NYC after Photo Plus Expo.
