Default September 2010 photography assignment - Doors

They are everywhere and we all have them. Many photographers have done books of them, maybe it's a cliche but I have wanted to do a series of them myself just for fun and that subject is DOORS. They come in all shapes sizes and levels of elegance and/or disrepair. They can be photographed to show texture, shape, importance. Sometimes they have people standing in them . Just a thought. What do you think?

    works for me

    I'm cool with that!

    I like it too!!!

Wonderful idea. The idea with the most support becomes the theme of the month.

I'm moving this thread to the assignment forum.

    Thx!

    marko

    sounds good

Yeah, but...with Jim gone and the rest of the band scattered all over the place its gonna be a tough assignment.

    I'm in.

a little incense, some chanting and we should be able to do it!

Just put some tunes on the ipod and keep your hands on the wheel and I am sure you will find some Doors!

    works for me too!

A door is a door and so all of them are open since no restriction was given. My, that's a small balcony! Just enough room for two. Nice!

Very cool door, Moin Moin! I love the architectural detail with the moldings and cornices.

I thought for sure Iggy was going to be first here as I saw a very colourful door on his Flickr.

I thought about it. Took the shot because I knew the assignment was doors, but I took it on Sunday. 3 days too early.... I'll find more!

    Default Good Luck

Good luck with the new house. It would be nice to have a few acres to work with and a lot more options for taking photos. I believe the red door means lots of luck for you as well. Have fun.

Great take on the assignment using the mausoleum door, Andrew! Love the post work and angle of view as well.
Cool view out your new front door, Bambi. Is that an oak tree out there? Love the red front door as well. Very nice post work as well.
