Hmmm......why is everyone so ....um....er.....non-critical?
I look at this image and my first reaction is, "Oh, a dead person." This from the pose and specially the eyes....AND, of course, no one will create a photo of a 'femme fatale' and have the viewer looking up her nostrils! So there.....I didn't care for it much......Robert
again. thanks for your insight, robert... this is not a critique thread....it is a show picture thread...in these threads, you do not critique, you comment on what you may enjoy about the pic. hope that helps you understand the way this thread works.... would you like me to post this pic in the critique thread?
That's a little harsh don't ya think?
In answer to your question:
I'm non critical because A) I love the photo and B) because this photo is in the Show section and not the critique section. If making nonconstructive and borderline insulting comments like that are your type of thing Tefnut7 then I suggest you might consider joining a different forum as we just don't go for that sort of thing here.

You've done a great job on the eyes especially. Really sharp and capturing. Nice work!
Listen, three eyes, don't you try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.
I like the BW here TT!

No.....If the purpose of people posting any remarks is that they all be sycophantic and warm/fuzzy, then I shall keep quiet.
And as for "borderline insulting, and non-constructive" is concerned.......you have a very twisted way of comprehending what are valid remarks......
Please, let's not start to point fingers at each other. I'm sure you were only trying to help Robert. Maybe a little blunt, and considering the section we're in a little unexpected. So I hope you can understand other people reactions. You've caught us off guard. So let's all not take it personally and just get on. You don't need to lie about liking a shot (at least I never do), but there is no need to point out improvements all of time. We should all stimulate each other. After all, photography should be fun. That's why we do it...

Well said, 42.....I'll pull the critical eye back some.....mind you, if all we are expected to do is sprinkle sugar over everything, then I'm not sure why anyone would post anything at all....
And...I wasn't suggesting "improvements", I was saying what my reactions were to the image which I assume would be entirely appropriate in a website called "Fine Art"
And where is the stimulation to each other you mention, if all we are expected to say is nothing more than sugar sprinkling?
So I guess that now I'll just look in at the critique forum occasionally, and not bother to post anything else either.....because, why would I? No one is going to say anything of value anyway in case I get mad and leave. Surely there is a bit more backbone in us than that!?
