Grey Cup Madness!

For those of you not familiar with the Grey Cup, it is the ultimate prize/Holy Grail in the CFL...aka the Canadian Football League. This year, the 97th, the 2 teams competing are the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Alouettes and the game is being hosted and played right here in Calgary. From Thursday right until Sunday there is a big street party downtown 5 blocks from my house and it's fun. It is a sea of green and white right now, the colours of saskabushkySaskatchewan fans, also known as the "Rider Nation" ...they are a crazy bunch of fans which is why I like them! They get watermelons and carve them into football hemets which they wear on their heads...I didn't see any today but I will keep my eyes open all weekend and snap a shot.Apparently, it made the news (front page) that their is a watermelon shortage in Calgary!...LOL! My goal for the weekend is a watermelon helmet photo!!!
I took the pentax and went down for a looksee....

okay but how bad is it when you are listening to the sports update and they are talking about the Grey cup and the FIRST thought that occurs is "gee I wonder if the Calgarians of photography.ca will have pictures of it"
