I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. I think the costumes look amazingly real but why does that mean the police need to pull them over? Seems a little crazy to me on Halloween.

Nicely captured moment. The girl to the right makes it all the more odd.

I gotta agree. I'm all about freedom, but wearing anything nazi seems pretty lame to me. You better not complain when I exercise my freedom to call you a douche!

Zombie Nazis is a satire by the way. No one was actually promoting Nazi ideas as far as I know.

It comes from the Norwegian Cult movie called Dead Snow.

This clip is somewhat graphic but explains the arm the in the Zombie's hand.

There is a very, very thin border between freedom in arts and responsibility/sensitivity of history.

Example: Months ago one of the princes of england showed up at a costume party in a nazi costume. Don’t kow, if such news reach your parts of the world – but he caused a official media outrage with it and I guess rigthly.
Could you think, what would happen, if it was a “german” artist, fotographer etc. who did something like this?

So even artists in other parts of the world should think before making “fun” of such sensetive history things.

Just my two cents, raiven . Sorry please, no offense meant. But here we have to be a little bit touchy about it.

Raiven, Moinmoins post just made me want to clarify. I wasn't attacking or judging you in any way, just the costumes! I woulda snapped the pic as well....and then called them douches!

Nazi zombies have also gained popularity because of an extremely successful Call of Duty:World at War mod.

Lol, I guess I pretty much got a taste of what being a photojournalist is like. You don't like something- attack the reporter. Even though my caption only repeated what I saw without editorial comment whatsoever. Dead Snow was a featured movie here recently at the Calgary Film Festival and won fan favorite at the Cannes Festival before that. It is a satire albeit of the horror genre.

The Halloweeners may have been douche bags, or they may have been nice college kids, I don't know. They were not causing a ruckus and seemed to be cooperating with the police.

After I took that photo I took one of a guy dressed as a woman. That does not necessarily make him a transvestite. He was just dressed as one. Since it was Halloween and he had a beard and tats, I am guessing it was just a costume.
