    Default Mr. Saxaphone

Caught this one yesterday during my lunch time stroll. Threw a couple of coins into his music case and asked him if I could take a photo and he agreed.

I'm a little disappointed with the blown highlights on his shoulder but other than that I think it turned out OK and wanted to share.

I also found it kind of interesting that this street performer was wearing a bluetooth headset for his cellphone!

What a sharp dressed man! LOVE his tie! I know this isn't a critique thread, hmm..well..i was just going to say that I think a little fill light would of helped even out the bright spots with the rest of the man..maybe making it so that you didn't get them?

Not to sure if this is the right thinking....guess I'm more asking out of curisousity to those that would know.

    I hope you don't mind.

    Love the subject!

No, I don't mind at all. Critique away on any of my shots. I only posted it here because I feel it belongs here.

Yes, a faster shutter with a fill flash to brighten up the shadows would have probably been ideal. It's all part of the learning I might have thought about it too if I'd actually taken more than 10 seconds to take the shot. Felt a little nervous taking a photo of "a man on the street". Not used to doing it.

Yah..I'm only reading up on the fill flash stuff now..trying to figure it all out and how it would relate to not using it.

I am the same way..I'm very nervous to shoot people I don't know. I hope that goes with time.
