During college football season my place of employment allows us to wear jeans with "our favorite college team" t-shirts for home games. For me, it's "I get to wear jeans to work". I was getting kinda tired of the Bronco orange-and-blue, so I talked Mom into buying me a t-shirt featuring the UC Santa Cruz mascot, just to shake things up. One person is also from the Bay area, and knew immediately what he was looking at. The rest of my coworkers kept asking, "Is that for real? Is it still their mascot?" Yep, it is. Several of the colleges have an offbeat sense of play. Mike took the pictures after I set the camera up for him.

Reminds me of the movie "Pulp Fiction". Either John Travolta or Samuel L Jackson was wearing this shirt.

The UC schools have great mascots. I think UC Santa Barbara are the Dirtbags (at least their baseball team)
