Longing

This is a discussion on Longing within the People photography (portraits, sports etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I put this image to the digital painter, so that it really looks like a sketch. I called it Longing ...

    Default Longing

I put this image to the digital painter, so that it really looks like a sketch. I called it Longing because I was wondering where Atley - who lives in the south eastern part of the US, had gone off to. When I found him, this is what I saw. He said he wanted to be out there really bad and help grandpa. Grandpa would not let him out with the snow blower running. When grandpa came in, he told Atley he would have to wait as the wind chill was biting. The snow that he loves will just have to wait.

I absolutely LOVE the perspective here, excellent!!
This image tells a story, has amazing composition and is one of the strongest shots I have seen from you.
I would love to see the original.

The shot could use a tad more space up top - -aside from that - perfect.

Thanks so much Marko! This is an example of shooting on the fly - Atley did not know what I was doing...and I did it with honey's little canon p/s set on auto. I will humor you with the original in a little bit...

Good call on the post processing. It made the image. While the original is nice the final image is excellent.

Now that I can see the image... Dang, you're on a roll TT; that's another excellent capture. All the good stuff has already been said, so I'll just add, "You nailed it!"

Tomorrowtreasures, great processing. This really captured your intent. The 'longing' comes out much more the the processed shot.
