Thanks Bambi, HBG and Dwayne. The flare is not a post addition, that is the actual sun flare and real sunrays captured by the Sigma 8-16mm rectilinear lens.

It's an excellent shot. I think I'd have cloned that flare on the guys head though. However, the title doesn't work for me ... the B/W (as excellent as it is by the way) makes it feel more like the cold day it is and, without colour the sun doesn't look/feel warm to me. Still love the photo though.
