The Tour Down Under is a week long cycling race held here in Adelaide and is the first race of the year in the UCI WorldTour. It is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, and attracts the world's best riders and an estimated 757,000 spectators (over the whole week).
Here are a couple of shots from yesterday's final leg. The average speed for the race is approx 45-50 kmh and this was one of the straighter parts of the circuit, so I am guessing they are probably travelling at appox 55-60 kmh at this point.
