A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Excellent shot. You say you rushed it but it's a wonderful image. Well done!
I added some more pics, and I did some more editing to the original, but I did not upload that one again
Someone's been practicing
What a fun set - well done!

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I've been practicing and making sure the eyes are in focus. I am taking less shots to achieve better quality shots. I took about 15 shots to achieve these 5, and the other 10 are not bad, I just like the comps of these better.
This is my favorite of the set. I increased the saturation and contrast up quite a bit and did a vignetting on it. My wife about fell over when she saw the final product. She even said my shots are getting better
Oh nice image in post 7! i see why your wife likes it - I do too!
In terms of the saturation, these things are very personal.
I do find all the images oversaturated by 25-50%.
In my own work I try to get things looking much more natural. Saturated images are often more striking but they often call unnecessary attention to either the whole image or elements of the image. In this case, the oranges and the reds are way oversaturated imo.
That said....i defer to my original statement that these things are very personal and many many people like highly saturated images.
...and even with the saturation I still like the set. (Sometimes I feel I over-comment but my goal is always to help )

Wow ... you have certainly been taking our advice and putting it to good use. Look at those beautiful sharp eyes and exposures now!! Huge improvement.
I love a open mind on a newbie ... exciting to see them progress!
