    Default Airborne Alyssa

Alyssa is a friend of my daughter. To get this shot I used my in camera meter and exposed for the sky. I then positioned two off-camera strobes. One was camera left, the other camera right. I positioned a futon at the crest of a small hill and shot uphill toward Alyssa. It took us about 30 kicks to get this and a couple of other shots that were keepers.

The things I would have done differently are to do a better job of in-camera white balance. This looks slightly gray to me. I can never seem to get that right. Probably also need to calibrate my monitor. I would have also moved to put a soccer field or goal as the back drop. Otherwise we all had a fun time with this and Alyssa was really happy with the images.

Very cool stop-action shot Dan. Only thing is your horizon has quite a lean to it.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    Welcome Dan!

    Way cool image!!! Very strong!
Nice catch for sure, fab play. Girl might benefit from a hint more "fill" which could still be fixed in post.
The horizon line doesn't bother me too much given the pose of the girl. Fixing it might sacrifice the foot, so I'd leave it alone fer sure.
