Yes, you are right, very expressive eyes for sure. Great model you have there. However, seems to me the images are a bit on the soft side, unless you intended them to be there ... I'd try and sharpen them up somewhat ...

GIMP is a free powerful program that's fab.
Here's a tutorial on how to locally sharpen with Gimp. 3.13.*Blur/Sharpen
As a rule though, during shooting, focus on the eyes till they are tack sharp. If autofocus won't get u there, go manual.
(Note though: Sharpen is not magic, IF the eyes were "too" out of focus during exposure, the sharpening will not work well....in fact it will look bad)
