Two Speedlight Clam shell lighting Portrait
Decided to try and work on my portrait techinque after work this evening, as I haven't had much opportunity as of late to practice.
This set up used a Nikon 60mm marco lens, two Sigma 530 Super DG speedlights with Micro Apollo softboxes. Main was set at 1/16th power and the bottom one was set to 1/64th and fired with two Cactus V4 wireless triggers

I haven't really made an investment in any decent lighting gear...looks like your investment is paying off. Nice shot.

very nice low key shot, I like the drama your lighting adds. I'm not sure If I'm right on this so bear with me... for me the eyes look just a tad dark??? might be my laptop??

cheers Iggy and Richard - and my eyes do appear a little darker in image posted here compared to the full size jpeg exported from Lr 3.3
