My PC died!!!

So I trotted off and bought me a quad 27" I-Mac ...Learning to fly all over again but I'm having fun. Going to load win XP in as I don't have any Mac software yet. I always said my PC could do anything a Mac can do and while that was true, I don't recall it being this much fun My internet is flaky right now, Telus is sending new modem and a tech tomorrow. Looks like I'll be active again soon....

I said the very same thing about Shaw not that long ago They're all evil!!! I have been given some extended connectivity tonight born of weirdness. I was on the phone bitching once again at tech support. The guy at the other end of the call told me to pull the power switch on the modem,I pulled it and we were cut off. He didn't call me back to follow up and I didn't want to dance back into the arena jumping through the hoops of the automated greeting. I like to think he understood my concerns and though we were cut off prematurely,he made it his life's goal tp fix my connection, cos I've been going like a bat from hell ever since

We run Windows XP, Windows Vista 64, and Windows 7 on various Mac Pro's around the office. (Love Bootcamp). It seems a trouble free relation between mac and windows on whole.

I did that with my first Mac and while it worked I never found I needed to use XP, but it was comforting to have that option.

iLife comes with the machine and this gives you a good but basic photographic program as well as some other cool tools.


For my first software I did purchase iWorks and Adobe allowed me to migrate all my software for the cost of mailing me new Mac disks, $15 a program if I remember well but the mind is not what it use to be.

Check with other softwares companies as there are others that will do the same to make transfer easier.
