Must be an Australian thing. Over here, it's common to go 'fishing' for a 'bite' by 'baiting' someone like I did with you. I caught a 5' 6" Canadian.
That's why I have a fishing animation in my emoticon collection for my cycling website.

Nuts, downtown. Whoops, no subject, must be a Vancouver thing. Jacqueline's pictures look like Granville street, although there are a lot more people in downtown Vancouver right now. I work in the downtown eastside and I can report that people down there where sure in a celebratory mood. Kinda cool, with all the noise from the anti-olympic crowd to the effect that the Olympics are bad for the poor. The poor have enjoyed the party as much as everyone else. Many attended sporting events, and on Hastings st. this afternoon people were singing O Canada.

I motion we make MA an honorary Canadian. Any seconders?

I have to say that last time I saw this much Canadian pride openly expressed coast to coast was when the Blue Jays won the World Series back in the early 90's. The Olympics for all it's faults did bring home warmth and sense of National pride..especially on the last day....and for that I applaud...
Loved the opening with the mime, the corrected pillar F-up and Katriana LeMay Doan...priceless and cheeky in a way only a Canadian could pull off!
PS...loved the Michael Buble cheesy (in a good way ) Vegas meets Canadian gift shop show...the only thing in there missing were large maple syrup bottles rolled along the floor of BC place.
Loved Burnaby boy Michael J Fox also...the only thing that would have finished it off is if the T-Hip did a set!

Is it just me or is Neil Young looking old?
