you know rather then be devastated by this chalk it up to a learning experience. It happens to the best of us. And I stand by my original thesis which is that academic excellence does not equal clinical competence. As soon as we know we are being judged on performance it becomes affected. Why do you think atheletes have sports psychologists?

I doubt it will happen again. And to the instructor for asking the question in such a way as to make you lose your train ohttp://www.photography.ca/Forums/images/smilies/smile.giff thought.

but hey you passed. and the patient didn't die. so at the end of the day it's all good

and of course it's going to get to you. we all have that naggy voice in our head. Rarely do the voices in our heads tell us things are great

    and again

You've passed. You might have done better, but even when you suck, you're still good enough to pass. Think about it, even when you mess up, you're still good enough. You should be proud of yourself.
Listen, three eyes, don't you try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

So update on my final practical. I took all the advice and encouragement form the last exam and put it to positive use in this one.
I went in and didn't let the naysayers get to me even though they were saying the marking was tough and screwy (80% was actually 50% because they mark harder for skills...sounds like past olympic ice dancing marking if you ask me...lol) I had a plan to just answer the question asked and if I didn't know the answer to say that I didn't know the answer. I had in my head what I would do if I lost focus...stop deep breath in and say the words" refocus" and take my time to regain composure
I kept telling myself if I feel nervous to remind myself I know what I am doing.
So I went in did the exam and walked out with a 92% score which according to the marking system was 80%
Anyhow I was confident, I knew what I was doing and the only thing she nailed me on was poor body mechanics....and I didn't drop the pretend L2 SCI client/model/fellow student!
    YaY!
Bonus points too for not crying either!!! There were a few public tears apparently with this one.
Thanks so much for all your encouragement, advice and help though a bit of a stressful time.
