I thought they could have done a far better job with the photoshopping then they did for the photos they used. Considering it is the BBC I was expecting a far more interesting and in depth look into PS and its impact on Photography and other visual media. Usually when I read or watch anything from the BBC it is very well done and this was very lackluster and lame to say the least. I also thought PS was older than 20 years not much but closer to 25 than 20, see I was wrong lol.

Most pirated program in world and not real rivals! Most British schools use Paint Shop Pro mainly due to cost and I keep seeing reference to other HDR programs. Even Lightroom by same company.
As with Microsoft schools and collages make or break many computer programs and if I was running a business I am sure I would use Word rather than Writer not because Word is better but because anyone schooled in UK will know how to use it.
I used Paint Shop Pro 7 until I started at college and to use anything else other than Photoshop CS4 would mean all I learn would be waisted. I was working hard to learn how to use the RAW file handler that came with Pentax but it's Photoshop that's used in collage so that has also taken position in "Unused Desktop Shortcuts".
Once learnt what are the chances I will then move to another program! No wonder it's offered at £125 for students. Once you learn it they have you for life. At least they will me. With 58 turns on coil not likely to go out and buy and learn another program. Wonder how much they bribe the government education departments. Maybe not money but bet they get free software!
that gene simmons pic is a terrible use of PS!
