I always thought it was so cool that Mini would fetch her scrunchie ball or stuffed mouse but now I find Maxi does the exact same thing. Maybe we all assume only dogs fetch so we don't bother throwing for cats

My younger cat plays fetch with me. She will bring a toy to me and drop in front of me (usually on my desk), then I throw it and she'll bring it back. And here I thought she was the only one. Is Maxi the one in the Breakfast Supervisor? So cute.
My brother had a Siamese when he was younger that would fetch marbles. He would also chase around the house after my brother and his friends like a dog. I always thought it was a Siamese cat thing, but there you go!
many cats fetch but not all. My cat doesn't fetch but she does leave various carcasses laying around (once a mouse head on my daughter's hockey bag). I've had other cats who fetch.
My mom had a cat that didn't fetch-he stole. He had this cache under the bed and you would find all sorts of things there. If you left a purse open he would rummage around and steal things -once a $20 bill!!! He would take his favorite ornaments off the Christmas tree and store them in his secret place

Both our cats we had growing up fetched tin foil balls. Tom did it moreso than Tiki though. We used to throw the balls over the top of the stairs up to the top level of the house and they would bring the ball back to the top of the stairs and bash it down the steps, and go crazy, pick it up and bring it to over, rinse repeat.
They only really seemed to like tin foil ones though...or the rubber super balls. It was funny to watch their reaction when you got a piece of foil out of the kitchen drawer and crumpled it up...their eyes would go like saucers!
Lots of those things were laying around the house!
