Another advantage of Nikon discovered
Although I haven't taken advantage of this myself when you upgrade some of your Canon lenses they give you one with a white body. Your significant other can very quickly say that's a new lens when did you get that. While the happy Nikon owner goes undetected

Not true Greg. Only some of the top Canon lenses (L Series but not all of them) are white. I have an L Series 24-70 that's black and other lenses like my wide angle are black also.

Why would you lie to your significant other about your camera purchases. I tell mine and show her anything I buy (Bores her to tears but I am happy so she lets me ramble on about my new toys). She knows I don't spend unless I know we can afford it, she is a clothes and shoe junky and she does not hide what she buys she shows me and tells me all about it and it bores me but she is happy so I share in her happiness with her (unless its lingerie, and vintage lingerie especially she has my full attention anyway lol).

It's just a play on an old joke;
A man comes into the snowmobile shop and wants to buy a new snowmobile. The salesman shows him all the models and the fellow decides on the model and asks for it in green. Well he's informed that it's not available in that colour, mater of fact this year there were no green snowmobiles available. The man is utterly distraught by this when asked why he explains: For ten years I have bought a new snowmobile each fall and it has always been green, my wife still thinks I have the first one!
