So I decide to go for a walk today to catch some of the awesome frost out in the city today. Saw some really cool (no pun intended) frost up by school on the way home so off I head. On the way, I see the cool bridge and decide to head down there.
I'm walking on the City of Calgary Bicycle Paths and heading downhill towards the river and I notice that a ton of water (looks like a main break or something form the amount of it) water has spilled an frozen on the pathway and it is really icy so I avoid it. I get back to what I think is a safe area and before I can say WTF, I am in mid air feet totally out from under me and I'm on the icy cement!
Now my back, arm are totally screaming bloody murder, I'm nicely bruised in a bunch of spots and it hurts to take a breath. Should be fun to try and do practical therapy tomorrow if indeed I do go to school. If this gets any worse I'm not going.
Stupid City of Calgary....they want everyone to shovel their walks yet seem to have issues with doing their own shovelling/snow/ice removal! City hall is doing a whole lot of shovelling of other things (BS) if you ask me.
I called 311 and complained but they didn't seem to interested in hurrying up even though I told them I hurt myself on their public icy pathway.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...OW...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Thank you.
