Hey I'm there for you Lisa!!! We can huddle together.
I went to visit my mom last week before Christmas (she was going to my brothers) and she informed me that she had decided that 'she was never going in a nursing home' I did not bring it up. It's hilarious because I spent years listening to her complain about her parents and how they should not expect her to move in and look after them .
Oh well, one bridge at a time......

Thanks B....36 more hours and.......HOME again!
Love the coast but Good Lawd! Came back from a walk...took my mother 2 times to get to the end of the roaqd because X2 she forgot something and had to go back...I waited...went back...then saw her finally walking then me and my Dad lost her...stilll dunno where she is...went a different route and didn't bother to tell anyone...it's dark, and I can't see her. I told Dad to keep walking and I came home.... nice having quiet time.
Btw, my parents are only in their 60's.
BTW, that and yelling at the TV every 5 seconds I'm going bonkers!

Cheer up Casil! Your photo of the silos just won the Nov 2009 contest.Congrats!!!
We miss all the nice shots you were posting so hurry back!
You gotta know Casil has a whole wack of photos waiting to be downloaded on her computer when she gets back home.
hello casil, after reading your post and the others' reply, i wish i still had my parents, even though they were sometimes a little unreasonable. they're both resting now. my mom went when she was 84 and my dad, when he was 90.
btw, i'm older than your parents
yeah I know we miss them. I understand it completely. I do love my mother. But she drives me nutty. Expressing it helps give me strength to have her visit and listen to her talk non-stop for 3 days.
