I love Brooke's work - so very, very, creative and expressive!

Although I'll likely never have that level of PP ability, and even if I do *zero* post processing of an image, I'm still inspired by the imagination and artistry of these images.

Some really nice and interesting stuff here for sure. Which brings me to a flickr pet peeve (and I have a few about flickr) and that is pointless notes. Dude, you don't need a note to tell me the center of a rose is beautiful. you can add it on the comments and I can find the center all by myself.

A sadly marred example:

I just quit a group because of this reason. People actually had the audacity to recrop my photos with those note thingys...I don't mind if you suggest a crop or removal of something.... by all means go ahead and send me your thoughts, but to go ahead and actually post a crop/note directly on the photo without asking just really annoyed me! Especially when I looked at some of the examples of the line marker's work on their flickr site.
Worry about your own images before you go ahead and mar mine!

I can't honestly say there is any particular style that speaks to my soul but I can say that all images have that ability. I'm most definitely not a purist. If your work speaks to me then I'm in. It wasn't that long ago photography wasn't even considered an art form and when it did gain acceptance it had to be black and white. Finally color work was accepted. Resistance to change has always been a problem IMHO. I personally don't care at the end of the day how you made your piece speak to me but that it did is enough
