This design will be the basis for my new logo.
Just curious which one do people like best - left or right? All opinions and comments are appreciated. Thx!

I definitely like the left better. I find the stark black to be more assaulting to the eyes and prefer to feel more comfortable looking at the more grey image.
I voted right on facebook but would go either way actually. I doubt they will ever be used that big so the black is my preference overall. (plus i think you can change the color in PS anyway.
okay I like the monochrome-ness of the black one but prefer the colour of the grey one. Can you make the grey on all the same colour?

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
I think if it's a small logo the B&W would work better. Kinda has a ying/yang feel to it IMO...I like it!

i like them both, you can immediately determine that the owner of the logo is a photographer since it represents the 'old' leaf shutter, but i'd rather prefer if the gear-like outside line were solid to make it 'more' graphic and clean
Thanks for the comments everyone!
The gear thing represents the perimeter of the plastic filter cover...

i agree with a few others that said since it's unlikely to ever appear that large (as the samples in the OP) the one on the right, simple black and white, would stand out more- the K (I assume for Kulik) being a clever part of the aperture design might get lost a bit when the gray version is reduced in size.
On the first look I would prefer the left one too. But there will be eventually pictures, you'll need the darker one. I guess that depends sometimes on the picture?
Thanks for the comments everyone! seems 97% or so like the black one.
I think I'm part of the 3%....thx all!
