Default Reduced banner advertising for members

    Hi members!

This is just an FYI that recently we reduced the amount of advertising on this forum for members. That said, we increased it for guests. We are hoping this will encourage people to join our community.

    Think that's a good idea?

    Thanks all!

I honestly can't say I noticed the change myself. But anything that boosts your stats could be handy.
I guess it depends also on what the advertising is for. If it is for revenue for your website then good move I think. More registrations the better. If it's just there as part of the vbulletin forum system then I guess not so important.

I think to increase members, your own suggestion you made to me awhile ago about restricting viewing rights to certain parts of the forum is probably more effective.

Just going to our discussion on this a few weeks back in an email marko ... I'm still receiving an average of 10 new registrations per day on my RG website. It's certainly bumping my numbers up.
