My son's trip

My son is off to Asia with his girlfriend next month, they will be there for 3 months visiting Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc. I was wondering if anyone has any special tips or cautions for him. I know he has studied it all pretty good, but Dad just wants to be Dad

A friend of mine just spent 6 months in that neighbourhood. I'll ask him if he has any pointers. My first recommendation is standard practice though. Sew a few Canadian flags on the backpacks, etc. There are a few countries in the world where people still like Canadians. I don't think Stephen Harper has completely ruined the name.
