Ghost Photo?

I'll state up front I am a septic. This article was all over the news this morning, but the pic quality wasn't great, so I hunted it out on the web. This image isn't much clearer. I think some of the form of the "ghost" is created by the bright spots at the head and the hips. There also seems to be some artifacting around parts of the "ghost", but that could just be compression.

Thoughts?
