    I had forgotten that I was at bat on this thread! A thousand lashes with an Optech strap.

    Anyway, if this one isn’t nailed on the first guess then I have to believe you had a deprived (and hopefully not depraved) childhood.

    I don’t know why it never occurred to me to see if a shot like this could be pulled off. It wasn't until I realized that I never posted to this thread that I started looking for something to put up when I saw it and decided to give it try.

    I bought the kaleidoscope in Bangor, Maine back in ’84 while working there. It sits on one of my shelves in plain view and seldom comes out of its box unless to amaze a visiting child.

    It's made by Van Cort Instruments of South Deerfield, MA, and is as well constructed as any of the lens in my bag. Maybe now, I’ll get my moneys worth out of it.
