It appears to me that the website is compressing the photos even though they are under 300KB. It is my understanding this shouldn't happen unless they are over 320KB. Can you have a look at this.

It appears to me that the website is compressing the photos even though they are under 300KB. It is my understanding this shouldn't happen unless they are over 320KB. Can you have a look at this.

I see no link as an example. - also the compression engine is working for me. I just posted a 318k image here and no compression.
Be aware that after 1025 pixels in width - compression also occurs.

Its weird. I uploaded the 5 photos for the Colour My World post and
275k became 109k
264k became 84k
257k became 256k
212k became 311k
276k became 275k
Not sure why the first two seemed to get compressed. and the last three didn't.
It's not just the size in Kilobytes. It's also the dimensions. Your first two of Colour My World were 686 x 1029. Images over 1025 pixels will also be compressed. So, it's over 1025 pixels (width or height) OR more than 300KB.
Thanks Iggy. I just figured out the problem. I had recently upgraded Lightroon to CC. The export was set to limit size to 'hight & width' and not 'long edge' as I used to always have it set to.
