Travelling photography groups

Has anyone ever done this? Any reviews if you have or someone you've know has done it would be great. I've seen some groups trips advertised where you would go to different places in Canada or out of this country (was looking at the South American trip).

Is it worth the money to do something like this?

Never done it but it makes total sense and if you do it....I for one will be green with envy!
