Grand Van, doesn't Dodge make that model?

Great Big Sea, that reminds me... you can't truly call yourself a full fledged Canadian unless you've been from coast to coast (which I haven't yet, but it's one of my goals for the next 5 - 10 years), been "screeched in", kissed the cod, and got goosebumps while listening to any band doing a version of I'se The Bye

I've been listening to Alela Diane - The Pirate's Gospel for the past few weeks.

Sort of folky sounding but WHAT an amazing voice.

Here's the title track. If you like it, you'll LOVE the album

and another off the same album http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEtyM...eature=related

    Thx - Marko

marko says - check out this verion by Antony - For me it trumps the Buckley and Lang version. The voice of God comes through this interesting looking and weird gesturing performer.

I'm not ashamed to say that I openly teared the first time I heard it....but I'm a freak for leonard cohen and powerful emotive lyrics.

I think Hallelujah by Rufus is the best of all the versions of that song and I like most of I have all the versions, I am a Antony fan, but the song Sister he duets with Boy George is stunning. Antony has an amazing hauntingly beautiful voice.

    Thanks for that A.L.
I'm not really a fan of music videos (call me a rebel but music is for the ears and watching a video spoils my interpretation), but.....
songs are just so simple to find on youtube.
Antony and the Johnsons -You Are My Sister (with boy george)
