ok - so its in a train station possibly (i googled, thats not really cheating right? theres no rules!) so maybe those turnstyle thingys you walk through?

Its going to Ed. Sorry Kiley! Thanks for your extreme participation. They are seats. The bars are the spaces between the headrests. Call them handles if you want. Not sure if thats really what they are for. But yes, you are looking right down the middle of the headrests.
