That's an interesting point. I'm a member of a couple of photo forums in the UK, and now that you mention it I don't know of a single black or south asian member on either of them. There are a couple of people of Chinese descent (of which I am one, half at least, via my dear old mum!).

I also read a fair amount of photography blogs, and off the top of my head ALL of those bloggers are white, with the exception of Gordon Lewis at Shutterfinger. I'm not including Rice High the angry Pentax blogger as he doesn't actually talk about photography, just equipment.

Can't think of any non-white 'old masters' either. Perhaps photography is more elitist than we think?
