I used to watch hockey when they had 12 teams and after the expansion hockey went down hill. I was a huge Bruins fan when they had the likes of Derek Sanderson, Bobby Orr, Wayne Cashman, John Bucyk, Gary Cheevers, etc.

Once they expanded there just wasn't enough outstanding players to fill the rosters of all the new teams. When they merged with the WHA and the likes of Wayne Gretzky started playing the game was ruined, the physical game was gone. The only reason he ever scored what he did was that hockey teams had become so lousy it was much easier to get goals. I haven't watched a hockey game in almost 30 years.

At least the WHA Toronto team had a more aggressive logo then a Leafs, and the name did suck but at least they had a better logo lol ...

A.L. Heh, I can't really comment on that since I wasn't even alive for it! But each to his own, I guess. Have to agree with you on the logo though
