Ah the west. Man, it is some kind of country I live in. I imagine Canada is very similar for someone living on the eastern side. Amazing mountains, lakes, high desert and oh yeah no humidity. On the other hand we kept being stymied in our attempts to get places and do stuff by impassable snow either on the roads or on trails (basically everywhere above 9000 feet was unattainable). And then there was the wind one day - 20mph sustained with gusts up to 50mph. Grit EVERYWHERE.
Overall I think I did ok, but the light during the day was so harsh that I took a lot of shots more for documentary and memory purposes than to make a nice image. Got a couple sunrise and sunset sessions that didn't suck, but there's only so much Photographers Ephemeris and Google maps can do. Lots of places were just plain unavailable when we actually got there. But I did not choke at MONO LAKE!! It was amazing.
Well, I'm babbling and am sorting pictures. Soon you will be sick of the Eastern Sierras. Hang on!
