Default So Monsanto...Do please tell me again how safe your food is

The more I look the more I find and the grand human experiment Monsanto is conducting for profit is slowly coming apart. The sad part of the whole experiment is that natural crops are all but gone. Lately I've come across all kinds or problems related to these evil Bas%#rds including the demise of the Bee's. The perfect balance of nature will not be enhanced by these fools.

Admittedly the next link is still a developing story but if true it doesn't look good for the agricultural community.

Here's another story that kinda scares the Bejebus outta me...exploding watermelons in China due to overuse of growth hormones:
China Food | China Agriculture | Land Mines

I watched Food Inc. and I would have to agree with Matt.
Unfortunately with the world being so overpopulated with humans (pushing 7 billion any day now..... on a planet scientists/researchers estimate should only hold about 4 billion max) as it is, monkeying around with food, chemicals, growth hormones, GMO's etc. etc. is one of the few ways that everyone can be fed....but the question is at what cost????

The sad part is many of these giant $$ driven corporations that "produce" food are muscling the organic growers/farmers outta business using lawsuits and bully-like tactics. Farmers and growers simply cannot compete with the money driven machines such as Monsanto etc.

I don't see it as a food shortage but rather a gross mismanagement of the food supply. As long as you have the coin, you can have food. One of the hotels I work throws enough food out daily which could have fed many many families and that's just one silly hotel. Multiply that by all the hotels in North America and a big dent is gonna happen in the shortage figures. Way too much corn is produced and subsidized for animal feed and bio fuels not to mention that a huge percentage of processed food has its roots in corn. Recently, thousands of tonnes of grain was left to rot in India whilst people in Pakistan starved. Oh yes they'd love us to believe there's a shortage of food and we're too many mouths to feed but my research indicates that's pure propaganda. Food Inc was an eye opener, try watching "King Corn" next.

Here's a link to a story about two reporters fired from Fox News for not backing off a Monsanto story.
