Nikon for me though I started out with Olympus. Could have gone Canon but no part of me liked the system. Joe McNally gave me the itch I think

Nikon. I agonized over my first dSLR purchase and drove people here to distraction with it too. I finally narrowed it down to two camera's in my budget and went to the store to try them out. The nikon felt better in my hand.

Canon. My first SLR (film) was a Canon TX-1 and the first quality digital point and shoot that I bought was a Canon SX110. It used SD cards which I already had and rechargeable AA batteries which made life easy plus it had ISO, aperture, and shutter speed controls. I got use to the Canon controls and so my first DSLR was the Canon Rebel XSi (450D) which is what I shoot with today.

I'm flying the Canon flag as well. My father in law shoots canon, and after I had a play with his 450D I knew I had to have one.

Well 2 for Nikon and 2 for Canon.
I'm planing on buying a Canon 60D in a few weeks.
Right now though I'm shooting with film SLRs from the 80s, a Chinon, and a Nikon.

For 35mm - Nikon - basically because I started on Nikon so the majority of lenses and accessories I own are already Nikon.

Olympus. I chose Olympus back in the 80s because the cameras were beautiful, technologically innovative and their lenses optically equal or superior in every lens class. Nothing's changed.

Digital I shoot Canon, just like the ergonomics of the camera and now I would probably stick with Canon as I have all my lenses for Canon. I find Canon glass to be the best on the Market in my opinion but sure Nikon, Sony and others feel the same mostly about the glass they use for the camera system of their choosing.

Nikon, both using film (an FM) and now with the D90 (and a P7000). I just like the "feel" and consistancy of the cameras. It might just be a matter of staying with what I know, though.
My Argus Rangefinder is nice, but it's literally a rectangular box and feels like it. And it needs a good cleaning.
As long someone gets any camera for the right reasons - to leverage their creativity, I say "good on ya".
How about those guys that make pinhole cameras out of you name it!
