    Default Facebook?

Anyone here use facebook? I really hate it but it is starting to be a bit of an issue since all the bands use it and would be a good way to get some exposure but I am leery of using it, so anyone here use it and if so how do you like it? I also have a problem with their TOS and someone they recently hired. I am reluctantly considering it, so see what others think of it. It would be not a personal one but more where I can connect to bands.

I used to use it, until an ex girlfriend started writing on my facebook wall, and my current girlfriend got funny about it. So in my case it wasn't worth the hassle I got lol.

although I know a few bands, and they tend to use MySpace rather than facebook. although they may now be on facebook too, but I wouldn't know heh

Yes most have myspace but it seems facebook is better for promoting events and has become very popular with a lot of bands who use the features more than the ones on myspace. Most of the local bands I deal with use facebook unfortunately, I am far to private to use for anything but to garner business but just something about the site bothers me.

Facebook is great to connect and spread the word about anything, but like anything else you must devote some time for it. I use it but not that often (to my detriment since it IS a good marketing tool for those that invest the time)

I'll say this - if you WANT to be found, you MUST get a facebook account.

In terms of their TOS - It's damn strict. ANYTHING you post there becomes their property. Period.

Would they try to unethically profit from your stuff?
IMO - no way on God's green earth would they try as people would flee.
BUT they would have the right.

i use it TONS - im a crackbook addict...
you can use privacy settings etc to limit who sees what, and you have to accept or request the friends who you allow to see your stuff. pretty much everyone between the ages of 13-30 FOR SURE has a fb account, as long as they have access to a pc. and lots & lots of people between 30-65 use it too, as long as they know how to use a computer... you'd get tons of connections, im sure.
i use it for personal stuff, to keep in touch with family & friends, and i post all my pics up there, with the same amount of worry i have when i post them on here (ie: none)
anyone can feel free to add me - kiley phillips in the edmonton network... (marko - i am so looking you up...)

I've been using facebook for a while now and I had only recently realized that if you post photos it becomes 'their property' in a manner of speaking - so
what I wanted to ask was... do any of you post photos there?
