that was interesting but frustatingly uninformative. I have no idea what patent rights Kodak is claiming to have.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Basically, they probably tried to patent everything you could imagine doing with a photo online. Otherwise, how could they possibly have 400+ patents around displaying photos for sale online? This patent thing has gotten completely out of hand and is just plain ridiculous lately.
